Sponsor Letter
Hello,
Undeniably, this has been a unique year for all. Important events being canceled, traveling on hold, businesses closing their doors. We have been blessed with an amazing staff, customers who believe in the products we offer, and business partners like you. We were elated to hear that Special Olympics Minnesota was allowing our athletes to return to an abbreviated gymnastics season. Albeit with restrictions in order to keep us all safe, but we are back in action as of April 17th.
Our friends at SOMN were affected by the pandemic as well, with limited fundraising efforts they are unable to host the season-ending summer games that our athletes love to participate in. In lieu of that, the Mini-Hops delegation decided to host our own version of the summer games with an end of the season gymnastics competition at our facility.
I am reaching out to ask for your help. Our athletes have been through so much, but on Sunday, June 13 we want to award them for their grit and persistence, after months of zoom workouts, creative cross-training and now the hard work at our in-person practices. The MHG Special Olympics program has been serving athletes with special needs since 1990 and this pandemic hasn’t stopped us.
Historically we have had the largest program in the state with 46 athletes, but with the restrictions, we are limited to 18 athletes for this season and we are full. The goal of this effort is to raise money to be used for the awards, incentives to continue with the Fit 4 Life campaign at the end of the season, and some essential and swag items for a goodie bag.
We would love your partnership in our efforts by making a financial donation and or items to be placed in the goodie bag. Mini-Hops Gymnastics is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization; therefore your donation is tax-deductible. If you or someone you know would like to get involved please email me and let us know the details of your contribution. Please reply no later than May 21st. Feel free to email or call with any questions.
Sincerely,
Michaela Chelberg,
Mini-Hops Gymnastics Special Olympics Head of Delegation
