Boys Progressive Classes

Boys Kindergarten Class

60 min.

This class is for boys who are above 5 years of age and in Kindergarten class. Students learn basic beginning level skills on traditional boy’s apparatus. Boys will work on basic skills for floor, pommel horse, rings, vault, parallel bars, and high bar, then moving into building greater confidence for skill development including but not limited to: pullovers, straight arm rolls, handstand and cartwheel variations, position swings on parallel bars, still rings, and high bar.

Boys 1st Grade Class

60 min.

This class is for boys who are above 6 years of age in 1st Grade. Students learn basic beginning level skills on traditional boy’s apparatus. Boys will work on basic skills for floor, pommel horse, rings, vault, parallel bars, and high bar, then moving into building greater confidence for skill development including but not limited to: pullovers, straight arm rolls, handstand and cartwheel variations, position swings on parallel bars, still rings, and high bar.

Boys 2nd-3rd Grade Class

60 min.

This class is for boys who are above 6 years of age and in 2nd Grade through 3rd Grade. Athletes learn beginning level skills on traditional boy’s apparatus. Boys will work on basic skills for floor, pommel horse, rings, vault, parallel bars, and high bar, then moving into building greater confidence for skill development including but not limited to: pullovers, straight arm rolls, handstand and cartwheel variations, position swings on parallel bars, still rings, and high bar.

 

Boys 4th Grade + Class

75 min.

This class is for boys who are above 9 years of age and in 4th Grade or above (up to 8th grade). Athletes learn beginning level skills on traditional boy’s apparatus. Boys will work on basic skills for floor, pommel horse, rings, vault, parallel bars, and high bar, then moving into building greater confidence for skill development including but not limited to: pullovers, straight arm rolls, handstand and cartwheel variations, position swings on parallel bars, still rings, and high bar.

 

Boys Freestyle 1st-4th Grade Class

60 min.

This class is for boys who are above 6 years of age in 1st Grade or above (up to 7th grade). Bring your moves and build your skills! Freestyle gymnastics classes, for boys 6 years old and up, will incorporate many gymnastic skills for use in activities such as Parkour, free running, tricking, cross training, and ninja skills in a safer training environment. Boys will work on skills that interest them, guided by our awesome staff.

 

Boys Freestyle Training

60 min.

This class is for boys who are above 10 years of age in Middle and High Schooler (5th grade or above). Advanced training with more freedom Athletes will work on tumbling skills, trampolines, Block jumps. “Tricker’’, snow boarder or retired gymnast are welcome.
The class start with a warm up and stretching all together and then each person works on what they want with or without help from the coach but with guidance. Before the end, everybody gets together for a group conditioning.

 

Homeschool Class

90 min.

Mini-Hops is proud to offer the all-new class for Home Schooled kids for ages 6+. This hour and a half class is a cross-fit opportunity for gymnasts and athletes alike to build strength, balance, flexibility, coordination, and confidence all while having a blast with their homeschooled peers at MHG. Gymnastics can play an important role in the development of athletes for any sport.

Proof of homeschooling required prior to registering.

Boys Invitation Only Classes

Boys Level 1-4

90 min.

Each level has an ability appropriate skill-based curriculum designed to build upon the skills learned and mastered in the previous level. Due to the progressive nature of the program coaches will evaluate for mobility to the next level. Students may remain in a level for up to a full year or more before acquiring all of the skills necessary to advance. From Level 1-4 students will be working towards round off front and back handsprings, on floor; kips, front tucks, tap swings, handstand pirouettes, parallel bar swings, and circles on mushroom; handspring on vault, just to name a few of the skills.

Attendance 2 times a week is highly recommended at this level.
