What is the Polar Plunge?

The Polar Plunge is the biggest fundraiser for Special Olympics Minnesota. All funds raised by Plungers help Special Olympics Minnesota provide year-round training and services to thousands of athletes with intellectual disabilities across the state.

The Polar Plunge is presented by the Law Enforcement Torch Run, a movement of volunteers dedicated to increasing awareness and funds for Special Olympics Minnesota athletes across the state.

Donation Impact.

We need YOUR help to reach our $25,000 goal!

Mini-Hops Gymnastics is a non-profit and has had the largest Special Olympics Gymnastics team in the state of MN and an amazing group of volunteer coaches for 40+ years. The Polar Plunge has become a favorite winter tradition that raises money to support our team. We are part of Special Olympics’ shared revenue program, which means 50% of what our team raises will go directly back to the team at MHG! These funds help us purchase uniforms and provide the competitive experience for our growing team of 35+ athletes.   You can start your tradition with us today.  Anyone can be part of our plunge team.  You can even do it virtually, or in person.  OR get involved in one of the many fundraising activities going on at Mini Hops.

Take a look below at all of the fun we’ll be having at Mini Hops as we prep to jump into these icy cold waters for Special Olympics Minnesota!
