Snack and Lunch

SNACK AND LUNCH

Children will bring their own snacks, water bottle, and lunch. The foods they bring should not require any preparation once at school. All food containers used by the children should be ones they can open by themselves. But if any additional preparation should be needed a teacher will wash hands before and after and will wear gloves.

Before beginning the cleaning the staff will properly wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

All food preparation surfaces, tables, and countertops will be first wiped down with soap and water and then disinfected with a sanitizer safe for food contact. This will be done before any food/ snack preparation begins. These same surfaces will be disinfected after food usage.

Once areas are properly cleaned and disinfected a teacher will get gloves and will place an open napkin at each spot that will be used by a child or staff. The spaces will be spread out over all 4 tables with no more than 4 children at each table.

Once the area is ready the children and teachers will get their snack/ lunch and water and will find a spot to place their items, they will then wash their hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. They will not touch any napkin but the one they are using or anyone else’s food items.

Once the child is done with snack/ lunch they will throw any garbage away, pack their leftover items up, and return to their backpacks. They will then wash their hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

Teachers will wash hands once everyone is finished and will then clean and disinfect using the same procedure as before food was served.

Pick Up/Drop Off

Camp Drop Off

  • Campers will be dropped off and picked up at the West Entrance in the roundabout.
    • Please do not park in the roundabout and leave your car. This creates a backup in traffic flow. It is also a fire lane.
    • If you are wanting to walk your child in for any reason, please park in a parking spot.
  • Starting at 8:00 am (12:30 for Adaptive Inclusive Afternoons), and no earlier, a coach will come to your vehicle to escort your child into the gym.
    • Please stay in your vehicle until a coach comes to have you check-in.
  • If you are going to be arriving after 8:30am, please walk your child in and check in at the front desk. One of our Customer Service staff members will help your child find a camp counselor.

Camp Pick Up

  • Your child must be picked up by 12:30pm (4 year old / Adaptive Inclusive Mornings) or 4:00 pm (5+ year / Adaptive Inclusive Afternoons)
  • Campers will be picked up at the West Entrance in the roundabout. There will be a similar system for pick up as we did for drop-off. A coach will come out to your vehicle with your camper for pick up.
    • Please do not park in the roundabout and leave your car. This creates a backup in traffic flow. It is also a fire lane.
    • Please stay outside in your vehicle until a coach comes out with your camper.
    • If you are wanting to enter the building and pick up your child, please park in the East lot (or 15 Minute Parking). Families that enter the building MUST check out with a camp staff member before taking their child(ren) home.
  • Coaches will bring campers to the roundabout around 3:50-3:55. Coaches will wear yellow vests to be visible to drivers.
    • There will be coaches assigned to check out, traffic control, car communication, and camper monitor.  This will ensure that athletes are making it safely to their parents and safely/efficiently out of the parking lot.
  • If you are going to be arriving late, you will need to notify the front desk by calling (952) 933-2452.

15 Minute Parking

The parking spots located by the roundabout at our West Entrance have been designated as 15 Minute Parking spaces. If you do need to park for pick up and drop off, you can use these for periods of time 15 minutes and under.

Camp FAQ's

Can we sign up for select days of Camp?

Yes! You can sign up for a whole week or pick and choose specific days.

When does billing for camp happen?

We will bill for each camp the Thursday before. For example, if you are signed up for Week 2 of camp (June 15-19), we will bill on Thursday June 11th.

Do discounts or scholarships apply for camp?

No, there are no discounts or scholarships for camps.

Is there a waitlist for camps?

Yes!

If I want to sign up for a full week, but some days are full and others are open, can I still sign up?

Yes! Since we open up the option to let families select specific days, you may see weeks where, for example, three days are full, but two days still have openings. If you would like to enroll in the open days, but be on the waitlist for the other days, please call us at 952-933-2452 or email us at mail@mini-hops.com. If you request enrollment through iclass in this scenario, the system will automatically put you on the Waitlist for the full week. In order to be enrolled in some days and on a waitlist for other days of a week, our Customer Service staff will need to keep track an additional way. Don’t be afraid to give us a call if you have any questions! Our staff will be glad to assist and walk you through.

Can my child be in a group with their friend?

We try our best to honor these requests, but our groups are primarily based on age. This helps us maintain consistent expectations, skill levels, and curriculum for each group. Sometimes, due to group sizes and ages, we can’t always guarantee that your child will be grouped with their friend. During camp, though, there are lots of chances for kids to hang out, eat, and play together, and we’ll do our best to pair them during activities.

Potty Trained:

Children MUST be potty trained to be enrolled in our camp programs.

Billing:

Payment for the first week of Camp (June 9-13) will be processed on June 5, 2025. Billing for subsequent weeks will be done the Thursday of the week prior.

Allergies:

MHG is not able to provide a completely peanut-free space, but we take all the precautions we can to prevent reactions. During snack or lunchtime, those with allergies specified during enrollment will sit at a clean, disinfected table with their own snack that they provide. All hands are washed before and after snack and lunch. We recommend to families that they provide an Epi-pen, which they will bring in with them each camp day and is kept in the lockable camp cabinet and taken home at the end of each day. Staff is trained in administering the Epi-pen if necessary.

Cancellation Procedure:

We reserve the right to cancel camps due to low enrollment. If a camp is canceled by MHG customers can choose between a refund or a credit. When a customer needs to cancel no refunds, only credits will be given with at least a 48-hour notice. No credit will be given without a 48-hour notice.

No make-ups or free trials are offered for this program.
